Dominic has appeared in some of the most acclaimed and popular television drama of the last two decades. Roles include Nigel Hawthorn’s emotionally scarred son in Channel 4‘s multi award winning ‘The Fragile Heart’; the gentle and kind Mortimer Lightwood in the BBC’s celebrated adaptation of Charles Dickens’ ‘Our Mutual Friend’; through to the dissolute, dark and charming Simon Kingdom,  Stephen Fry’s errant brother in the hit ITV series ‘Kingdom’,  and the dangerous, ruthless and womanising Dan Woodhouse in the biggest drama on Irish television  -  the multi award winning ‘The Clinic’.  In the cinema Dominic appeared in ‘The English Patient’,  ‘Shooting Fish’ and  Duncan Jones’  ‘Whistle’.   Since leaving the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 1989, he has appeared in over fifty productions.


In 2009 Dominic was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Irish Film and Television Awards, and in 2011 - Best Featured Actor in the Broadway World.com West End awards.


In the theatre Dominic began his career at the Royal Shakespeare Company, where he spent four years working with directors such as Peter Hall, Danny Boyle, Roger Michell and Max Stafford-Clark.


Subsequently Dominic has appeared at the Hampstead Theatre; the West Yorkshire Playhouse; and toured Chekhov’s ‘Three Sisters’, playing Vershinin to Imogen Stubbs’ Masha. The production received critical acclaim.


Dominic played Osborne in David Grindley’s award winning production of ‘Journey’s End’ on tour and in the West End at the Duke of York’s theatre and was nominated for the Broadway World’s Best Featured Actor award.


Most recently Dominic played Antonio in the Globe production of ‘The Merchant of Venice’, directed by Jonathan Munby and with Jonathan Pryce as Shylock.
